Bombay Sapphire Basquiat

With the collective mission to inspire creative self-expression in us all, Bombay Sapphire and the Basquiat Estate joined forces in the creation of an Special Edition bottle that pays tribute to cultural icon and prolific artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat. We participated in this collaboration by adapting that artist’s masterpiece, Untitled (L.A. Painting) onto Bombay Sapphire’s iconic bottle.


Our number one priority was to be faithful to Basquiat’s work, ensuring it was presented in a way that honoured his legacy. To do this, we used dye diffusion, an innovative transfer technology that seamlessly apply the artwork to all sides of the bottle, producing premium results, while also removing the need to use plastic shrink wrap.

The design is then finished with a bespoke i-strip and cap that features Basquiat’s signature crown.
